Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford (born April 14th in 1980) was an American performer, actor and dancer. Her career began with Broadway career with musicals such as Wicked, Legally Blonde and Hair. in You Can't Take It With You in which she was awarded the Tony Award as Best Featured actor in the Play. Annaleigh Ashley, Tony Award winning actor and actress, has worked with actors and directors both on screen and stage for her entire career. Ashford is next seen opposite Kumail Nannjiani as part of Robert Siegel's Hulu Limited series Welcome to Chippendales premiering November 22. Ashford currently works in Searchlight Pictures' horror thriller Dust opposite Sarah Paulson, Ebon Moss Bachrach and Ebon Mosch-Bachrach. The film will be released as an Hulu Original on Disney DTC. Ashford is set to appear alongside Josh Groban on Broadway's Lunt-Fontanne Theatre during the march 2023 revival of Stephensondheim's Sweeney Todd. Thomas Kail, director and producer of Hamilton will lead the production. Ashford was Paula Jones most recently in Ryan Murphy's FX's American Crime Story Impeachment, based off the scandal which included Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp during the national crisis. She was in two seasons of the popular CBS comedy B Positive. It was co-produced by Chuck Lorre with Marco Pennette. The show featured Linda Lavin Sheryl Crow, Hector Elizondo as well as Ben Vereen. Ashford is no stranger to Broadway. Her performance as Essie in You Can't Take It with You earned her Tony Drama Desk Awards and Outer Critics Circle Awards. Additional Broadway performances for Ashford are Sunday in the Park, as George Wicked legally Blonde, and her role as Lauren in Kinky Boots. For this role, she earned the Tony Award nomination. Ashford lives in Los Angeles & New York. Her birthplace was in Denver & raised there.
